I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Engineering in the College of Technology and Innovation at ASU Polytechnic campus, and the Director of the Advanced Technology Innovation Center (ATIC) and the Image and 3D Data Exploitation and Analysis (I³DEA) Lab. I am also an affiliate in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (School of Computing and Informatics) at Arizona State University. I received my BS in Mechanical Engineering from REC Kurukshetra, India, and my MS and PhD from Arizona State University.

The Division of Computing Studies merged with the Department of Engineering in Fall 2008. We are very excited to offer a new degree program in BS Software Engineering with one of the anticipated focus areas as Gaming and Visualization.

2010-11 Academic duties include serving on the Graduate Cmt, P&T Cmt, and as Director of Capstone Projects in the department.

My vocational training has been in the area of CAD, CAGD, Visualization and Computer Graphics, and Engineering. However,  since the early 1990s, I have emphasized building important horizontal connections between Computer Sciences and other disciplines, as part of my academic vision. These connections have in turn provided me with new and intellectually challenging problems, thereby pushing my research in the Computer Sciences.
